Music Festival Welcomes Full Sail Students For The 6th Consecutive Year

Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) November 3, 2006

Full Sail Real World Education sent students from the Show Production & Touring Degree Program to provide production services for the annual MOE.DOWN Music Festival earlier this fall. The students were welcomed back for their 6th consecutive year at Snowbridge Ski Area in Tubin, NY.

A group of eight Show Production students along with Show Production & Touring Course Director, Corey Jacobs, worked the event that had over 12,000 people in attendance. ?The students had full control of mixing and lighting,? said Jacobs. ?Personally, this was my second year and I love to see the students in action. It?s like riding a rollercoaster with someone for their very first time.?

The band MOE. hosts the event that has included acts such as: Ziggy Marley, Les Claypool, The Violent Femmes and Blues Traveler. This year?s lineup included nearly 20 acts over 3 days. Full Sail students managed and handled the set up, maintenance, set change and break down for each of the bands.

?It is a privilege for Full Sail to be a part of MOE.DOWN again this year,? said Dana Roun, Program Director of Show Production & Touring. ?The experience for both the students and the artists continues to be a positive one. More importantly, we love that our students are able to take what they have learned at Full Sail and apply it to a real world experience.?
