Sandra Mitchell, an anchor and reporter with KCAL and KCBS, has decided to go public about her current battle with breast cancer and she is now writing a blog about it on the CBS Los Angeles website titled ?The Breast of the Story.?
Here?s an excerpt from a recent post:
Many of you might wonder why I am publicizing such a personal journey. I do it because it?s not just my story. It is the story of the 2.5 million women in the U.S. who are breast cancer survivors. It is the story of millions? and it is the story of one.
Mitchell, who anchors KCAL?s noon, 2, and 3 p.m. newscasts, found out about the cancer diagnosis just a half hour before she was supposed to go on the air for a recent newscast.? You can check out the blog here.
