NBC renewed the cult hit series in May, but have replaced controversial showrunner Dan Harmon with former Happy Endings writers David Guarascio and Moses Port.
Speaking to Zap2it, Brie said she is excited to move forward with the critically-acclaimed series.
"Of course it's hard to say goodbye to Dan - we all love Dan. It's something that's out of our control," she explained.
Brie added of the future: "We weren't even sure that we would have a fourth season, so the fact that we get to come back and be together I think is a really wonderful thing."
Port and Guarascio spoke about their plans for Community over the weekend at Comic-Con, with the writers promising not to "screw it up".
